Tuition & Payment
The level of the student determines the lesson length. The length of the lessons increases as the student progresses.
For Elementary School students grades K-5 we offer:
• 30-minute weekly lessons $140 monthly ($35 per lesson)
For School grades 6-12 and Early-Advanced students we offer:
-
45-minute weekly lessons $180 monthly ($45 per lesson)
-
60-minute weekly lessons $220 monthly ($55 per lesson)
The tuition includes the time dedicated to giving private lessons as well as preparation time outside of the lesson.
Tuition payment is required in advance, between the first and the fith day of the month.
Tuition payment received after the 5th day of the month is subject to a $20 late payment fee. The returned check fee is $35.
The tuition remains the same no matter how many lessons your child receives; it is not refunded.
The preferred method of payment is an automatic debit monthly. Payments can also be made by check, credit/debit card, or by ACH debit monthly.
The tuition system is based on 48 weeks providing one lesson per week (excluding holidays and arranged vacation times). The tuition system is benefiting to the student and the teacher being "worry-free". Once you sign up sor lessons, you pay the same price per month no matter what. You are guaranteed one lesson per week and if you would like to schedule an extra lesson, there is no charge for 2 extra lessons within a 5 month period (contingent upon teacher schedule availability).
If you feel that we charge more than you expected, read this story.......
A woman was strolling along a street in Paris when she spotted Picasso sketching at a sidewalk cafe. Being more than slightly presumptuous, the woman asked Picasso if he might sketch her, and charge accordingly.
Picasso obliged. In just minutes, there she was: an original Picasso.
"And what do I owe you?" she asked. "Five thousand francs," he replied. "But it only took you three minutes," she politely reminded him. "No," Picasso said. "It took me all my life."
Because you're paying for a teacher's experience and skill and not their time, we charge by the value you actually receive from the lesson.
Tuition does not include music, study materials and supplies, or audition fees. Appropriate materials are chosen by the teacher to fit the needs of each individual student. The student or parent is then responsible for purchasing the materials. Parents who wish for their children to participate in festivals and/or auditions are expected to pay all fees and related expenses associated with these events.
