Amber Garrett



Amber Patrice Garrett is native to Norfolk, Virginia. Amber’s formal music training initiated in the Department of Music at Hampton University, Hampton, Va. where she was a member of the Concert Choir and a featured soloist on its cross-country tour. After completing requirements for the Bachelor of Arts degree in Music, she continued her pursuit of excellence at The Boston Conservatory of Music where she earned the Master of Music Degree in Voice Performance in 2012.

Ms. Garrett’s accomplishments are diverse and noteworthy. She performed on the TODAY Television Show shortly after receiving her undergraduate degree. During her graduate studies, Amber sang in Master Classes for International Artist such as Denyce Graves and Christine Brewer. She participated in the 2010 Harrower Summer Opera Workshop located in Atlanta, GA where she performed her 1st Principle role in Puccinis’ Il Tabarro as Giorgetta ; in Chautauqua Opera in Chautauqua, NY as a Studio Artist for both 2012 and 2013 seasons; and in Des Moines Metro Opera Indianola, IA as an Apprentice Artist 2014; New Years Eve 2015 she opened for Gospel Artist Vickie Winans; and in 2016 released and produced her Debut Album Project Journey: Inspirational Songs and Hymns.

Most recently Amber has completed her European debut in Naples, Italy singing the title role in Puccinis’ Suor Angelica and several recital concerts in cities on the Amal Coast. Amber has performed for dignitaries, community events, various venues and is especially grateful for every opportunity to perform. Ambers passion for her career goals is apparent as she states ,“Every time I perform, whether it be in a church or an opera house, I want to be transparent enough for people to see my heart through the music. If they can feel something, I’ve done my job...”
